Exclusive to the Handmade Toledo Makers' Mart for Holiday 2020!
'm calling these my Marbled Mountain Earrings, because the shape of this smoky gray acetate accent reminds me of how excited I always got right before driving through the big arched tunnels through the Pennsylvania mountains on the way to visit Grandma in Ohio. She's who my business is named after!
The lightweight acetate smoky 'mountain tunnel' is topped with a hand marbled genuine leather circle making them one-of-a-kind... because you can't marble the same pattern twice if you try! (The leather is sealed with a special protectant for colorfastness, keeping that hot black & white contrast nice and crispy!) Finishing off these earrings is a howlite puff bead, a tiny glossy black and gray cube, and finally a 22k gold plated ear wire that the whole party drops from.
These measure nearly 4" long and just shy of 2" wide - sure to make a statement!
Hi! I'm Lindsay and my biz - Avert Adornments - is named after my rad grandmas. Avert is Treva (my mom's momma's name) spelled backwards, and everything I do is a fresh spin inspired by their styles! I create handmade jewelry from leather and faux suede set off by natural stones, vintage beads, and lightweight acetate. Many of my designs are hand painted, marbled, or cut, making the jewelry you'll wear often one of a kind! I love earrings most but make a few necklaces too, and the majority of my work is set in gold, copper or brass. While statement earrings are my fave, I make some smaller understated styles for the babes who prefer them. I'm confident you'll find something here to love and thank you SO MUCH for entrusting me to amplify the style of you and your loved ones. Peace to you!
